Is “Good Will” a Bad Dream?

Happy holidays to you!!!

My hope for you is that whatever you are doing on this day, you feel cherished and safe, surrounded by those you cherish as well.

I’m grateful to say that I am all of those things, and as I spend time with my friends and family today, it seems so silly that we bring so much conflict toward our reverence and appreciation of god, no matter what religion. If there were ever a place that God exists it would be in the moments between us here and now as many of us recite the words “peace on earth, good will towards men.”

How much do we wish those words to be true and act upon them to make it so? Abiding by the singular message that most, if not all, religions base their teachings upon– “peace”– can and should be a tenet of our daily lives, and not exclusive to those that believe in our specific religion.

We all aim to love and to be loved, and to live in a world where we all have the opportunity to do so freely. Yes, the world is a complicated place and there are always impediments toward living in harmony, but I’m looking forward to making 2014 a year when “good will” sits in the front seat of my intentions, and I hope it does for you as well!

Remember… shift happens!
