Lost in Translation – Found in Travel

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.  Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime”  Mark Twain

As most of you probably know, I LOVE to travel.  I love the excitement of arriving in a new city, meeting the people and indulging totally in their culture and community.  Some of my greatest learnings and discoveries about myself and people have come from my experiences whilst traveling.

There are approximately 196 countries in the world – that’s a lot of adventures!  Think of all the cultures and people to learn about, the sights to see, the food to taste, the nature and smells to inhale. Every trip I’ve taken, regardless of the reason for it, I have grown spiritually and mentally and with a much greater appreciation and understanding of the world we live in.

The more we take time to breathe the air that others breathe, to eat the food (or lack thereof) that others eat, or to sleep on the grass mats where others sleep; the more we realize our one-ness.  We are all connected.

If you could write a list of all the countries that you would like to visit, which ones would you choose, which one would be top of your list?

I often run retreats throughout the year and my next adventure will be to Tibet and Nepal in October. If you are interested in joining me on this adventure of a lifetime, please email for more details. Maybe this is a location from your list and we would love you to join us, create new memories and learn new cultures!

Remember…. Shift Happens!
